Overview

Venue at a glance

Biblos is the most recent addition to the exciting cafe-bar scene in Edinburgh. Since opening it has become the most renowned meeting place in the city centre. People from all walks of life come together under one roof to enjoy the coffee aromas and simple tasty food by day, smooth urban soundscapes and quality drinks by night. Biblos has something for everyone.

The design is one of contrasts. The crisp lines of the metal trimmings are contradicted by the natural tones of the big, soft, leather sofas. It's comfortable yet clinical, intimate but open. The mezzanine floor makes for an excellent spot to go people watching. Those large windows are made to gaze out of while you waste the day away, watching the rain hammer down. As the summer months roll on, the windows will undoubtedly slide back to make this the most chilled spot in town for a spot lunch and a fresh glass of white wine.

The reputation is growing. Ask many of the people who make Biblos their No. 1 pre-club haunt. As the evening wears on, the chilled sounds are dropped, the tunes pick up pace and the best urban music rips through the PA.
