The choice of traditional or modern is again apparent in the guestrooms at Norton House. In the original house, where all ten rooms including the two suites are furnished in the elegantly grand style of a traditional country mansion. Most rooms also offer superb views of the surrounding countryside and gardens. From Lomond, with its balcony and spiral staircase down to the gardens, it is possible to see the mound of Arthur’s Seat and Edinburgh Castle, on the horizon.

Apart from the elegant private dining rooms, you have a choice of two excellent restaurants. In Ushers, you’ll enjoy fine dining in quiet, refined surroundings, selecting from a menu that offers a superbly balanced choice of traditional dishes with a contemporary twist. In the Glass Lounge brasserie, you’ll enjoy dishes which, like the restaurant, have a livelier more vibrant style and you can be sure the food has been prepared with the finest quality ingredients.
